The family business, run by farmers and ranchers Welsh Cob Hugh and Sarah Humphreys, offers the perfect retreat for people who want to see central Wales ‘off the beaten track’, which includes an outdoor hot tub and a fireplace surrounded by a free space. animals.
The Humphreys family have lived and worked in the area for five generations and welcome people to their “little slice of heaven” in Powys.
Sarah said: âThe Log Cabin Vacation Business was an agricultural diversification project that the whole family is involved in, which is why we are extremely proud to have been invited to host the second season of The Cabins, and it is very exciting to see our traditional Estonian log houses on prime time TV.

âIt was quite an adventure and something out of the ordinary to have a TV crew set up their production village on our farm. We were very happy to see how many local businesses have been used and how they have used the area.
Val Hawkins, managing director of MWT Cymru, the official tourism organization for the Central Wales region, revealed that the company has helped producers of The Cabins to find filming locations, activities for couples and accommodation during their visit.
“It was great to welcome The Cabins to our beautiful region and we hope the filming locations for the series will help promote central Wales as a destination and encourage more visitors in 2022”, a- she declared.
âI am delighted to report that central Wales is becoming more and more popular with TV and film companies who are now discovering the fantastic range of venues we have here.
âCentral Wales benefited from the travel boom last year when many visitors first experienced the area. Hopefully they will return in 2022 to support our businesses, not just during the peak holiday season as the region has so much to offer throughout the year. ”
The reality TV series first aired in January 2021 and re-launched earlier this year after becoming ITV Hub’s most popular entertainment show.
Ben Stevens, Head of Factual Entertainment, 12 Yard said, âWe are delighted to be back for a second series of The Cabins for ITV2 giving viewers the opportunity to see a whole new group of hopeful singletons and their potential mates move into our comfortable new Welsh cabins this winter. With more cabin interactions and additional romantic retreats, we’re hoping for more love stories to tell.
