PLANS have been proposed to build luxury holiday lodges – each with their own hot tubs – at a site near Tarporley.
The proposed development has been allocated to surplus land at Blackmare House off the A54 in Little Budworth.
It includes the construction of eight three-bedroom log cabins with outdoor seating, a parasol and unopened hot tubs, parking lots and a water feature to add visual interest.
The plans were submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council by the applicants, Mr. and Mrs. G Richardson.
In a planning statement, written on their behalf by David Taylor, he says: âThere is a proposal to develop eight luxury log cabins to be supplied by Beaver Log Cabins, a manufacturer based near Winsford.
“Each log cabin has a master bedroom with en-suite WC and bath and two smaller double bedrooms with shared shower cubicle and WC.
âThis configuration is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of users, from families with children of both sexes to three couples.
The living room is open plan including a kitchen, dining and living room. The outdoor seating area and hot tub are accessed through patio doors from the living room.
The layout of the eight log cabins is deliberately designed to protect the private amenity space of each individual log cabin. No hot tub is overlooked by a neighboring cabin.
âThis is very important because spas can be used in any weather. ”
He adds: âCovid-era restrictions on the global travel industry are encouraging increasing numbers of Britons to vacation in the UK.
âThis growing demand in the national holiday market creates opportunities for the provision of overnight accommodation to visitors.
âIn this context, the creation of a new tourism opportunity of eight luxury holiday lodges in the proposed development would benefit the local economy of Cheshire West while complementing the wide range of existing tourist accommodation in the area.
âThe app site is ideally located to provide visitors of all ages with a plethora of experiences. It is very close to Oulton Park. Other nearby local attractions include hot air balloon and microlight flights, horseback riding, falconry, and a Shire Riding Center.
For young families there is the Crocky Trail children’s play area, the village of Blakemere and the Snugburys Ice Cream Center.
“For couples, there is fine dining at Nunsmere Hall, a trip to the Weetwood Brewery and Distillery, or a day of golf or spa at the Portal Hotel in Tarporley.”
